'Broken Prince' Goodreads synopsis -
‘From wharf fights and school brawls to crumbling lives inside glittery mansions, one guy tries to save himself. These royals will ruin you... Reed Royal has it all—looks, status, money. The girls at his elite prep school line up to date him, the guys want to be him, but Reed never gave a damn about anyone but his family until Ella Harper walked into his life. What started off as burning resentment and the need to make his father’s new ward suffer turned into something else entirely—keep Ella close. Keep Ella safe. But when one foolish mistake drives her out of Reed’s arms and brings chaos to the Royal household, Reed’s entire world begins to fall apart around him. Ella doesn’t want him anymore. She says they’ll only destroy each other. She might be right. Secrets. Betrayal. Enemies. It’s like nothing Reed has ever dealt with before, and if he’s going to win back his princess, he’ll need to prove himself Royally worthy.’
'Broken Prince' Novel Review -
Wowy! I’ve missed reading these novels so much! I’ve decided to review the ‘Broken Prince’ as 5/5 stars. Firstly, I love Reed as a character and in this novel I really enjoyed reading from his perspective. I thought that Reed’s character matured so much during this novel, and that as the reader you were able to get a better grasp on what he was dealing with. Secondly, I really loved how the focus was more focused on all of the Royals dark pasts. I was able to understand more about the problems that the Royal brothers were facing, it built a more emotional connection for the reader. Thirdly, Ella was such a bad ass in this novel, I don’t know how but this girl developed Hulk powers over night.
I really enjoyed how her character wasn’t going to stand down in moments of weakness. I promise this novel isn't fantasy related! All in all, I’m super excited to be continuing on with this series. I would recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys a good contemporary as well as anyone interested in New Adult/New Age readings. As a side note, I wouldn’t consider this series to be something for younger YA readers. Personally, I find that it’s a novel for more mature audiences due to some violent and sexual scenes.
