Why Book Blogging is Valuable

I recently commented on a blog post that I stumbled on called 'Blots of Ink and Words'.

In this post the author explained why people should blog and why it's such a good thing be a part of.

So me being me, I joined the conversation and shared my experience of being a beginner blogger (it feels longer than it's actually been - but loving it).

I suggest that if you stumble across my blog post you should check out 'Blots of Ink and Words' and all of the other comments made by fellow book bloggers.

I think that blogging is a way for people to be creative and it can allow them to connect with others who share the same interests as them.

My comment from the blog -

"I recently started book blogging two days ago. My blog baby is growing, not in followers but in content. So far I have very much enjoyed the blogger-sphere and I believe that if your blogging about something that your interested in and that you love, your content will simply be better and more expressive. Personally for myself, I find book blogging something that I can come back to and look at like my reviews, recommendations, and TBR's. I have a Goodreads account, but I was always too scared to comment/review the books that I had read. Mainly because I wasn’t sure whether what I was saying was right and that people wouldn’t like my opinion about something that they loved. I know I haven’t been book blogging for a long time, but I feel like I’m going to continue my journey as a blogger for as long as possible. Even though I have a part-time job and I’m still at uni, book blogging is something I know I can take time out to do. From being a book blogger (for literally two seconds 😂) I’ve come to the realisation that I can’t just be writing for myself. I have to write for others, an audience, who are interested in my content, what I’ve written, what my opinion is, and what these books are about. It’s been a little difficult because I have to be conscious of others (I’m not obsessed with myself I promise 😂). But I think for people who are passionate about something and would like to start off on social media, blogging is one of those very special and practical ways. By creating a blog, everyone has the ability to express themselves and be as creative as they possibly want. Plus you get the opportunity to learn from others and share with them your findings and feelings. For some individuals, it can be an excellent tool for release, such as self-help blogs. Blogs are hard work to maintain and update. But I feel like if you're blogging about something that you really enjoy, blogging will turn into something natural and less like a chore. From one little blogger to another blogger, don’t stress about the small stuff. Just do it at your own speed and it will turn into something that you’ll cherish and love."
